Volunteer with us

Volunteer and help create an inspirational neighbourhood.

Two Gardening Volunteers Laughing

The last year has taught us that we are stronger when we pull together as a community.

Your skills, talent and commitment will help local people build the community that they want in Waterloo and North Southwark.

Coin Street's Community delivers a range of programmes to support participants. Promoting health and wellbeing, creativity, self expression, enterprise, skills and learning for life.

A range of opportunities include one-off activities, regular sessions and project based programmes.

Volunteering is your opportunity to give something back to our inspirational neighbourhood and be part of something special.

When we come together, we form something powerful, can achieve great things, and provide a shining example of a community, deserving of celebrating.

Give back, whilst you make memories. You will never forget your time volunteering, and many volunteers find they make a whole new set of friends.

You can gain experience and learn new skills - plus volunteering will always look great on your CV.

By being part of the neighbourhood, you and other volunteers come together to make a difference, leaving your mark on Coin Street.

We are looking for volunteers who can work flexibly so don’t worry if you can’t commit to volunteering every week.

Accessibility

All sessions are as inclusive and accessible as possible. If you have a skill such as sign language/ audio description or an interest in enhancing accessibility, then please get in touch.

Volunteering started with family fitness sessions. My family are in Japan so I am in London by myself. Living in London can be quite difficult. Although they couldn’t replace my family, the staff, other volunteers and community became a second family to me.
