Get a taste of Notting Hill Carnival this Bank Holiday weekend at Limin Southbank, situated in the heart of London in Gabriel’s Wharf.

The warmth and welcome of the Caribbean come to South Bank at this authentic Trinidadian restaurant, beach bar and club.

Limin Southbank is the only Caribbean restaurant in central London, and you won't find zinging flavours like this anywhere else in this part of the city. The menu is a mixture of sharing platters and small bites with tons of traditional Trinidadian favourites, rum cocktails and rum punch, creating that upbeat island vibe.

If you’re a fan of Notting Hill’s famous Caribbean festival but you’d rather escape the hustle and bustle on the streets, Limin Southbank is the perfect alternative for you.

This Bank Holiday weekend, Limin Southbank will be setting the South Bank ablaze and bringing the party, celebrating Carnival in style. With a weekend of special menus, DJ sets and spectacular performances from Carnival dancers, this weekend at Limin is one you don’t want to miss!

From 25-28 August, Limin Southbank – complete with its own sandy island beach terrace – will be getting into the Notting Hill Carnival spirit by serving its limited edition ‘A Taste of Trinidad Carnival’ menu. In homage to chef-owner Sham Mahabir’s Trinidadian heritage, the menu will feature dishes typically found at Trinidad Carnival, including:

  • Doubles – Trinidadian national dish of fried flatbreads topped with spiced chickpeas, LIMIN hot pepper sauce, tamarind sauce, kutchela (mango relish) and cucumber
  • Fried Bake and Fish – Fried flatbread filled with fish, served with salad, pineapple and drizzled with garlic mayo, tamarind and hot pepper sauce
  • Pelau – Caramelised chicken with rice cooked with vegetables, herbs and coconut milk
  • Corn Chowder – Spiced sweetcorn soup with crisp fried onions and garlic
  • Pholourie – Split pea and gram flour fritters, and flavoured with turmeric and cumin

On Friday 25 August and Saturday 26 August, diners will be able to enjoy fiery hot food and refreshing Caribbean cocktails to the backdrop of live DJ sets, channelling the Soca music-centric sounds of Carnival. Guests on Monday 28 August (Bank Holiday Monday) will be greeted by Carnival dancers in dazzling traditional costumes.
